Lamb Curry


  • 1.5 kg lamb shanks but you can use any part you want
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 whole garlic
  • 3 bay leaf
  • 7-8 black peppercorn
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 4 green cardamom
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp salt


  • For cooking Al you need to do heat up your pressure cooker or instant pot cooker and place the meat then put all the spices I have shown you just Including the whole onion and tomato. Then cover it with some water, close the lid and cook for 35 minutes whit high pressure.
  • Just in case you are slow-cooking without a pressure cooker it will need 4 hours simmering.
  • Ok after 35 minutes it's almost ready, now take out the meat, look at that how soft it is?
    Now bland the spices Or just stir it and it will melt like butter. Finally, pour the gravy it on top of the meat to serve with some of your favourite garnish to give this mmmm.
